Q: Can a lie detector test help me find out if my soldier husband is cheating on me?
My husband has been deployed to help with the Covid vaccination programme but I think he is delivering more than vaccines. He went away well before the Army was deployed, saying he was on training. Normally he calls the kids at night when he is away but not this time. I haven’t been able to get him on the phone very often for weeks.
Late at night when he isn’t working his phone is off. He denies that he has switched if off and says there must be a fault on it. But that shouldn’t stop him calling me surely?
He has cheated on me before and I recognise the lying tone of his voice.

In answer to your questions, I can conduct a home lie detector test for infidelity and it will help.
However, if you are living on or very near to a barracks it might be best to have the test conducted in our offices. Whilst we are very discreet, turning up in a non-branded car etc., with lockdown restrictions gossip might ensue.
Under ordinary circumstances visitors to your home might go unnoticed. But in military accommodation it won’t.
You may or may not be aware that the military frowns upon infidelity so until you know, it’s best not to draw attention to it. Even if you find out that your husband is cheating, it could easily affect his career. So you might want to consider what your course of action will be if you discover he is. You have obviously forgiven him in the past.
Naturally if you live some distance from the base a home lie detector test is practical.
