When marriages split up and children are involved it’s sadly not uncommon for dirty tricks to be used in child custody battles.  This enquiry for a Chesterfield lie detector test demonstrates the scenario perfectly.

Q: Will a Chesterfield Lie Detector Test Prove I am a Responsible Mother?

I’ve been thinking of taking a lie detector test for some time, but thought I’d ask for a bit of advice first.

My ex -husband and I broke up a while ago and we have a young daughter together. He was violent during our relationship and can only have supervised visits with my daughter.  However, having gone on an anger management course, it looks like they may start allowing him to have her overnight. I know when this happens he’s going to try and go for custody, as he says I’m an unfit mother.

I used to be a heroin addict, but I put that all behind me when I found out I was pregnant. It was a harrowing experience as I wasn’t able to withdraw until after the baby was born. The experience of me knowing I made my unborn child addicted to heroin was awful. Then seeing her withdrawing from it was even more devastating. It was touch and go for a while and I was worried I was going to lose her, but she pulled through and is now a wonderful child. Social services check up on me for obvious reasons but they have been receiving complaints that I’m mistreating her. I’m sure my ex-husband is to blame for this.

Do you have a Chesterfield lie detector test service? If so, will such a test prove I’m not using anymore and that I’m not abusing my daughter? Also would it help if we ever ended up in family court?

A. T., Chesterfield

Response from East Midlands Polygraph Examiner

It’s always sad when parents become involved in custody battles.  Having recovered from your addiction, it must hurt that it is now being used against you.

In answer to your questions:

  • Yes, we do have a Chesterfield lie detector test service
  • It can prove whether or not you are still using and whether you are abusing your daughter or not.
  • If the matter reaches a family court, it will be at the discretion of the judge as to whether your polygraph results can be submitted as evidence. You will need other corroborative evidence to back them up.

Something you should bear in mind is that your husband’s attendance at anger management will not necessarily lead to him winning a custody battle, even if he is doing well. Many other factors would need to be taken into consideration before he would be granted custody.  These include having a suitable home, childcare facilities, income and many other things.
