Booking in Stafford

The same accredited standard, in Stafford itself.

Stafford has one controlled examination room of its own, in Staffordshire Technology Park. Every one runs to the same standard as the rest of the network — the same accredited examiners, the same confidentiality, and the same seven examinations, whether the reason is a workplace investigation or a private question at home.

Before you book

The result goes to whoever booked the test, and to nobody else without their written say-so. If you are not sure a test is the right next step, the free consultation before you book will tell you plainly — including when the answer is no.

Client reviews

What people say afterwards.

Independent Trustpilot and Google reviews. A review never records which office the examination was at, so these are clients from across the UK rather than from Stafford alone — it is the same examination and the same examiners wherever it happens.

The lie detector test plays a crucial role in our investigation. It pinpointed discrepancies in the suspect's statements, leading to a breakthrough. I think We couldn't have cracked the case without the help of it! 5 stars without any doubt!

The through professionalism and accuracy Of Lie Detector Test UK - Liverpool reveled truths that transformed our business negotiations remarkably.

Every product was explained carefully and the whole experience was professional.

I had been accused of an assault, which led me to lose my job, I became depressed and shut myself away from life, but I knew I was innocent Of all allegations and became desperate to prove I had been honest. I found this company on line even though I was told by friends and family not to do a polygraph, it became personal to me to clear my name so spoke to Emma who was completely understanding and made me feel at ease. Booking the test was so easy and my examiner traveled to my home city to make things easy for my self to get to the test, the examiner was professional and explained the process and managed to make me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this company for anyone in the same boat, don’t leave it to drag you down. Now I can hold my head high and try to start a new chapter in my life thanks again to everyone involved from the company. Tom

I was having trouble with ex girlfriend making up lies to my current girlfriend & the lie detector was my only option. It was conducted in a private room alone with the inspector. The questions was made very clear & asked professionally, I never felt interrogated.

Needed a test to find out if one of the employees was involved in a large sum of money going missing from work. Test was quick & efficient.

I was very nervous about the whole thing (even though I wasn’t being tested!) but as soon as the guy came to do the test he made me feel at ease. Said it was normal to feel how I felt after explaining our situation. I explained what the problem was and that I felt humiliated just talking to him about it! He was very caring and reassured me that he sees this a lot and that he would be able to find peace again for me. The person being tested was able to understand everything that was happening as the guy explained in detail, everything just went really smoothly & we felt at ease with him, which of course is what you want in these horrible ‘mind consuming’ things that led you to be there! Thank you Mark for getting us through it, we finally slept well last night!

After finding out a clue that my fiancee forged my signatures to take ahold of my properties, I immediately called Lie Detectors to find out the truth and finally I came to know that the clue was 100% right! Thanks a ton!

At the Lie Detector Test UK, Deborah was my examiner. What impressed me the most was Deborah's expertise. She was thorough yet empathetic, and her attention to detail was to detail was spot-on. It felt like chatting with a friend rather than undergoing a serious test.

Asked in Stafford

The questions that come up here.

If yours is not below, the free helpline will answer it — including when the answer is that a test is not the right thing for your situation.

Where exactly is it?

On the technology park by junction 14 of the M6 — easy to reach by car from Stoke, Telford and Wolverhampton, and awkward on foot from the town.

Do you cover the county?

Yes — Stone, Cannock, Rugeley and up to Stoke, at the same price with no travel charge.

Can you come to my home in Stafford?

No. Your examination in Stafford is held at Dyson Court, Dyson Court, Staffordshire Technology Park, which is booked for your appointment and nobody else's. A polygraph measures small physiological changes over a couple of hours, and it needs a quiet, private room with no interruptions to do it — a doorbell, a neighbour through the wall or a family member in the next room is not a neutral setting, and it is not one we can guarantee in somebody's house. Our examinations take place in a dedicated, private setting designed for polygraph testing, which is what gives the controlled conditions and the confidentiality the examination depends on. If getting to an office is genuinely difficult, call the helpline on 0800 861 1058 before you book and we will talk through what is possible.

Does it cost more to test in Stafford?

No. It is £495 all-inclusive for one person wherever you book in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, including Stafford — the price does not change with distance. Scotland is the one exception, priced separately.

Why is the booking fee non-refundable?

Because the work starts before you arrive. An examiner reviews your case, agrees the questions with you in advance and prepares the examination — and the slot is held for you and nobody else. That is also why booking waives the 14-day cooling-off period, which is set out in the terms and conditions. If you are unsure whether a test is the right step, call before you book rather than after.

How many questions can be asked?

Up to 4 specific-issue questions, alongside the profiling questions the format requires. Each is repeated at least three times during the test, because consistency across repetitions is what makes the result readable.

Does it hurt?

No. The blood pressure cuff stays inflated during the test and can feel tight — about like having your blood pressure taken at a surgery. Nothing else is felt at all.

What if someone tries to beat the test?

Countermeasures were a real problem with older equipment. Modern instrumentation records the attempts themselves — deliberate movement, controlled breathing, pressure applied out of sight — and a trained examiner sees them in the data. An attempt to distort the test is itself a finding.

When do I get the results?

A full written report reaches you by email within 24 hours of the examination, or within 48 hours by tracked post if you prefer that. Every report is checked and verified by a second examiner, so what you receive is a qualified opinion rather than one person's reading.

What happens if I don't book an examination date within 30 days?

Your examination date needs to be agreed within 30 days of the original booking date. If it is not, we may close the booking and the £125 booking fee stays non-refundable — clause 3.15 of the terms and conditions has the exact wording. If your circumstances change, call the helpline before the 30 days runs out rather than after.

Can I change my appointment date?

Yes, with at least 48 hours' notice, and the new date has to fall within 30 days of the original booking date — see clause 3.9 of the terms and conditions. Call the helpline to make the change; it is time-sensitive, so a call gets it done faster than email.

What happens if I miss the pre-examination questionnaire deadline?

You have 24 hours from booking to return it, by text or SMS link. Miss that window and we reserve the right to cancel the appointment — clause 3.5 of the terms and conditions sets it out. If you need more time, call the helpline before the 24 hours is up rather than after.

What if the result isn't what I expected?

It stands either way — No Deception Indicated, Deception Indicated or Inconclusive — and no refund is due once the test has been carried out and the report provided, regardless of the outcome. Clause 3.12 of the terms and conditions sets it out. If you are unsure whether a test is the right step, the free consultation before you book is the place to ask.

Fourteen more offices within 30 miles.

Real road distance and journey time from Stafford city centre for the nearest few — straight-line distance for the rest. If one of these is easier for you, we test there too — the price is the same £495 wherever you go.
