Lie Detector Test UK Coronavirus Update 11 May 2010
Following the Prime Minister’s address yesterday, outlining the easing of coronavirus restrictions, his “conditional” plan will not be adopted by Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
This unfortunately means that our polygraph examiners won’t be able to cross borders into these areas of the UK for at least another 3 weeks.
However, lie detector tests are available in England and in some circumstances clients will now be able to visit our offices, rather than take the tests at home. We wait the detailed lifting of restrictions report promised by the government this week. This will provide more clarity as to what we are able to do for our clients.
We suggest that those client who prefer to attend appointments in our offices, make their way by car, bicycle or walking. Maintaining social distancing on public transport is not particularly easy, especially if some people don’t stick to the rules. From Wednesday 13 May there will be more people going back to work and many will use public transport.
Keeping clients safe
Not exposing our clients to any unnecessary risk is as important as keeping our polygraph examiners safe. Since the coronavirus pandemic was declared we initially suspended our services for ethical and moral reasons. Legally we have always been able to work but until our polygraph examiners were tested for COVID-19 we decided not to.
When they were tested (all negative) we recommenced our services but only administering residential lie detector tests. During this time our clients could easily have been arrested on their way to our offices. Breaking lockdown to attend an appointment with a polygraph examiner may not have been viewed as essential. It’s an arguable point, especially when your mental health is suffering due to mistrust, domestic violence, infidelity or false allegation issues. However, we felt the least stress our clients were put through, the better.
Office and home tests
Commencing this Wednesday people will be able to travel to more places. For this reason some of our controlled offices will be available for those that want to take lie detector tests in them. Naturally you can still book home tests if you prefer.
As always if you would like further information about anything related to our services please call our free helpline on 0800 368 8277. You can also start booking polygraph examinations through our secure online reservation system again.
Keep an eye on the blog for the next Coronavirus update.
