Q: If I take a lie detector test will it prove to my husband that I am not cheating on him?
I have only been married a few months but from day one my husband has searched through my phone, my laptop and my handbag. He says I shouldn’t object if I have nothing to hide.
In all honesty, I have nothing to hide but feel this is an invasion of my privacy. I have done nothing to make my husband mistrust me, so I don’t understand why he is doing it.
He hasn’t said that he thinks I am cheating on him, but all his actions point in that direction.

A polygraph examination will help you to prove you are not cheating but it may be there are deeper issues here.
You say he hasn’t accused you of infidelity, but have you asked him if he has suspicions about it? If you haven’t it’s a good idea to calmly discuss the issue with him. While the usual reason for partners doing this are because they have doubts about fidelity, it is not always the case. Sometimes it can be because they are checking up on your spending or looking for other secrets you might be keeping from them.
Married or not, you are entitled to some privacy and your husband should respect that. Would he like you to root through his phone or computer?
