Can I get a Lie Detector Test near me, to disprove False Allegations?

This query comes from a victim of false allegations in the East Midlands. We are often asked if someone can get a “lie detector test near me” and we are happy to report that we have nationwide offices available.

False allegations query

Eight years ago, I was involved in a car accident.  My boyfriend at the time was driving the car and a child stepped out in front of us. Neither my boyfriend nor I had been drinking.

There was a police investigation and no charges brought against my boyfriend.  However, we are no longer together. The shock and guilt drove a wedge between us. I saw a psychologist several times in the months that followed the accident. I realise it wasn’t anyone’s fault but the fact that a 5-year-old died is hard to erase from your mind.

Recently, I saw a Facebook post where members of the child’s family had posted a memorial in which they said he had died because the woman driving the car was drunk. It also said that the boyfriend, who hadn’t been drinking, had taken the blame.

We live in a small community and most people know about the accident and who was involved in it. I am now being shunned by people who are usually friendly. When I walk into the local shop, all conversation stops dead. The shopkeeper has become rather belligerent with me and, little by little, I feel I am being ostracised.

If I can I get a lie detector test near me, in the East Midlands, will it help prove that there was no deception over the driver of the car. I don’t want to upset the family, but it really wasn’t me and my life is being made miserable.

Response from East Midlands Polygraph Examiner

How dreadful for you and of course, the victim’s family.  Sometimes the bereaved just need someone to blame and clearly someone has put the notion in their heads that there was some deception over the circumstances.

It is also possible that you might be overly sensitive to the reactions of people around you because you have seen the post. Not everyone is on Facebook but in a small community gossip spreads like wildfire.

Presumably, there will have been some press coverage of this tragic event. Perhaps you can post any links to the story on your own Facebook page. Or you might want to reply to the memorial post, expressing your condolences and subtly mention the facts.

However, if the family firmly believes what they have posted your alternative is a lie detector test if you want to restore your reputation. You can then post on your social media accounts that you have taken a test and the results are available to anyone who requests them.
